Stepping Into the New Year With Grateful Hearts | The For Nina Foundation

The start of a new year always invites reflection.

At the For Nina Foundation, this moment feels especially sacred. It is a chance to look back at the lives touched, the growth experienced, and the reminders we received that even in the presence of illness, hope still has a place to live.

The For Nina Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to providing emotional support, resources, and hope to families navigating childhood illness.

Reflecting on a Year of Growth and Hope

One of the most meaningful milestones this year was supporting Phoebe, our very first wig patient. Walking alongside her as she bravely faces cancer brought our mission into sharp focus. It reminded us that caring for the emotional heart of a child matters just as much as supporting the physical journey.

Growing the For Nina Foundation Community

This year also brought growth within our leadership. We welcomed two new board members who share a deep commitment to the mission of the For Nina Foundation. Their hearts, insight, and dedication strengthen our foundation and help guide us forward with clarity and purpose.

Another important step was the transition to a new website. This space was created with intention. It is designed to grow as the foundation grows, to hold stories, offer resources, and serve as a place of connection and encouragement for families and supporters alike.

Gratitude for Our Donors and Partners

Giving Tuesday was a moment of overwhelming gratitude. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we experienced a record breaking day that brought in more than double the donations the For Nina Foundation has received in the past. This outpouring of support made it possible to continue serving families when they need it most.

We were also honored to host a donor event filled with supporters who believe deeply in this mission. Being together, sharing stories, and standing in community was a powerful reminder that hope grows when people choose to show up.

Finally, eleven Kendra Scott locations participated in a Give Back event benefiting the For Nina Foundation. Each location played a role in expanding awareness and raising funds that directly support families navigating childhood illness.

As we step into the new year, the For Nina Foundation does so with hearts full of gratitude. Gratitude for the families we serve, the supporters who give so generously, and the belief that even in hard seasons, healing and hope are possible.
